Message Do some research on oil. You'll find that there is an *optimal* temperature to keep it at so as to provide sufficient flow, but not to overheat and accelerate the breakdown of the polymer chains.

I understand your concern with rod bearing failure - it concerns me too. The unfortunate reality of it comes down to the design of the engine, not the oil we run in it or the lubrication cooling system it uses.

I'm really leaning towards having a small groove machined into the connecting rod pin of the crank leading from each hole and running for 90 degrees from the hole itself in the direction of crank rotation. This will help spread the oil and maintain a more robust oil film.
